Maths has never been a very enjoyable subject because I don't understand concepts immediately once taught--not like some of my genius classmates, but rather, I've learnt over the three years that to do well in Maths, a lot of practise is needed.
For the past three years, there is a routine I usually take to feel more confident before I do Maths. First, I usually listen in class to a totally new topic that is usually quite guided in class, and then go home to further practise, and finally when there are difficult questions or queries I have I try to voice them out so I get a clearer understanding of the topic and not make the same mistake again.
Haha I think there are actually some key concepts in every topic so it's easier to focus on these questions before the exams. There are also some key mistakes or points in a certain topic so I try to remember not to commit them.
I know memorising is not a good method to learn and apply Maths so I hope I haven't been doing that but actually understand Maths. Also I find intangible Maths (e.g. Trigo, indices) and all that especially difficult because they deal with variables which is hard to visualise how they work compared to topics like geometry or circles where you can actually see the images in your head.
My personal expectation is that I can continue spending time for Maths and getting a GPA of 4.0 for both M1 and M2!!!! I do not like this year's topics but I am going to try liking
